Laird has twenty five years of experience in counsel to management primarily in strategic and human resource management. Over the past twelve years his consulting focus has been executive search. He employs a pragmatic and client centered approach to every assignment he conducts be it for a small start up to a large public corporation.
Laird is a principal with Coe and Company and joined the firm in early 2006. Prior to that he was a partner with PWR Search (an Alberta based firm) and was a Senior Associate with Russell Reynolds Associates( an international search firm) and had been Vice President Executive Search with Price Waterhouse Coopers. Prior to that he was a partner with Drake Beam Morin (Alberta) a major career transition firm. His corporate experience includes management roles with B.C Telephone (now Telus) and B.C. Hydro.
Laird received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota. He is currently on the Board of Leadership Calgary. He served as a Director of the Management Employees Pension Board of Alberta. He is a past president of the Institute of the Certified Management Consultants of Alberta.
